About
Often called the Baths of the Inca, Tambomachay is a series of terraces and niches where water flows through carefully engineered channels and fountains. It is thought to have been a site of water worship and a retreat for the Inca elite, and its stonework shows the skill of Inca hydraulic engineering.
Best time to go: Combine it with Puka Pukara across the road on a morning tour of the sites above the city.
