About
Thawan Duchanee, one of Thailand's most celebrated modern artists, created this complex over several decades as his home and studio. Around forty dark timber buildings are filled with horns, bones, skins and carved furniture, exploring themes of death and human nature in a striking counterpoint to the White Temple.
Best time to go: Allow time to wander the grounds; the buildings are as much the art as the objects inside them.
