About
Opened in 1997 in a former orphanage, the museum traces more than two thousand years of Jewish life in Morocco. Its collection includes ritual objects, embroidered clothing, jewellery and photographs, as well as a reconstructed synagogue interior. It offers a thoughtful perspective on a community that once numbered in the hundreds of thousands.
Best time to go: Take a taxi to the quiet Oasis district and allow time to talk with the knowledgeable staff.
