About
Lion's Head rises to over 650 metres beside Table Mountain, and its summit path spirals around the peak with a few short sections using chains and ladders. From the top there are views over Camps Bay, the Atlantic seaboard, the city bowl and Robben Island. Sunrise, sunset and full-moon climbs are local rituals.
Best time to go: Start the climb about two hours before sunset with water and a torch, and descend in company.
