About
Grieg and his wife Nina lived here from 1885 until his death in 1907, and the Victorian wooden villa keeps much of its original furniture, including his Steinway piano. A small composer's hut by the water shows where he worked. The couple are buried in a rock face overlooking the lake, and recitals are held in a hall built into the slope.
