About
The original church was built in Sogn in the twelfth century and moved to Fantoft in 1883 to save it from demolition. After it was destroyed by arson in 1992, it was carefully reconstructed. Its tiered roofs, dragon heads and dark tarred timbers give a vivid picture of Norway's medieval wooden churches.
Best time to go: Visit in summer, when the church is open, and walk up through the pine woods from the light rail stop.
