About
La Rambla runs for over a kilometre through the old city, past the Liceu opera house and the Boqueria market to the Columbus monument. It is busy and touristy; the side streets of the Raval and the Gothic Quarter hold its better cafés.
Best time to go: Morning; keep an eye on your belongings in the crowds.
