About
Jim Thompson, a former intelligence officer, built the Thai silk industry into an international success after the Second World War. He assembled this house from several traditional teak buildings, filling it with Buddhist sculpture, ceramics and paintings, before vanishing mysteriously in the Malaysian highlands in 1967.
