About
Sabandía lies in the green countryside that surrounds Arequipa, with Andean terraces climbing towards the volcanoes. Its best-known sight is the Molino de Sabandía, a stone water mill from the seventeenth century set among meadows, which makes a restful excursion from the city.
Best time to go: Visit the old stone mill on a clear afternoon, when the countryside around it is at its greenest.
