About
Al Ain Zoo, also known as Al Ain Wildlife Park, covers 400 hectares in the foothills of Jebel Hafeet. Its collection concentrates on hoofed animals and herbivores, including Arabian antelopes, oryx, gazelles and eland, as well as rare white lions and Nubian giraffes. There are dozens of species of mammals, birds and reptiles, which makes it a good day out with children.
Best time to go: Arrive early or come in the late afternoon, when the animals are most active and the heat has eased.
