About
Umm Al Emarat Park, formerly Mushrif Park, lies in the middle of the city between Airport Road and Karamah Street. It first opened in 1982, when entry was limited to women and children, and it is now open to everyone. The park works with hundreds of schools to teach children about the country's plants, wildlife and heritage, and it makes a green break from the city's traffic.
Best time to go: Visit in the cooler months and in the late afternoon, when the lawns fill with families.
