About
The Louvre Abu Dhabi opened on Saadiyat Island under an agreement signed with France in 2007, which lets it use the Louvre name until 2047. The Louvre calls it France's largest cultural project abroad. Its galleries cover some 8,000 square metres, making it the largest art museum on the Arabian Peninsula, and they set works from different civilisations side by side to show the links between East and West.
Best time to go: Book an entry slot and allow time to sit under the dome, where light falls through the latticed roof.
