نبذة

Built under Augustus and enlarged under Vespasian, the arena once held some 20,000 spectators for gladiatorial games. It is the only surviving Roman amphitheatre whose four side towers and full outer wall still stand, and the underground passages now house a display on olive oil and wine production in Roman Istria.
