The villa was built in the early twentieth century for the banker Otto Primavesi and his wife Eugenia, whose family championed the artists of the Vienna Secession. Its façade and interiors show off fine Art Nouveau craftsmanship, and it stands near the medieval city walls close to the cathedral.
