The Hội An Museum, also known as the Museum of History and Culture, was founded in 1989. It covers the history and culture of Hội An and is a good first stop for context before walking the streets of the old town. It lies on Trần Hưng Đạo Street, close to the historic centre. The collection is compact, so an hour is usually enough, and it makes a cool break from the heat of the streets outside.
