نبذة

Built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the stadium is named after Moses Mabhida, a leader of the liberation movement. Its great arch, said to be inspired by the Y shape of the South African flag, rises more than a hundred metres above the pitch. A funicular car climbs to a viewing platform at the top, and the brave can walk up the arch's steps instead.
