Built in the protectorate years, the market sits behind an arcaded façade in the heart of the new town. Inside, stalls are piled with Atlantic fish and shellfish, cut flowers, olives, spices and fruit. Small restaurants around the edges will grill your choice of seafood, making it one of the most enjoyable places in the city for an informal meal.
