Opened in 2017 in a former grain silo on the waterfront, Zeitz MOCAA is devoted to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. Thomas Heatherwick's studio sliced through the silo's concrete tubes to create a cathedral-like atrium. Its galleries across several floors show changing exhibitions of painting, sculpture, photography and installation.
