District Six Museum

نبذة

District Six was a lively mixed neighbourhood until 1966, when the apartheid government declared it a whites-only area and bulldozed its homes, displacing some sixty thousand people. Set in a former church, the museum preserves street signs, photographs and a huge floor map on which former residents have written their names and memories.
