Victor Horta designed this pair of buildings in Saint-Gilles for himself at the end of the nineteenth century. Every detail, from the curling ironwork and mosaic floors to the door handles and the light-filled stairwell, expresses his flowing art nouveau style, and the house forms part of a UNESCO listing of his major town houses.
