نبذة
The complex was the home of a prince who became the Yongzheng Emperor, and in 1744 his son Qianlong converted it into a lamasery. A series of halls with ornate roofs leads to the Pavilion of Ten Thousand Happinesses, which holds a towering standing Maitreya Buddha carved from a single trunk of white sandalwood.
أفضل وقت للزيارة: Visit in the morning, when incense smoke fills the courtyards and worshippers are at prayer.
