Ferrari World opened on Yas Island in November 2010 as the world's first Ferrari-themed park. It was developed by Aldar Properties and took three years to build, and most of its rides are indoors. Its best-known ride, Formula Rossa, held the record for the world's fastest roller coaster from 2010 until the opening of Falcons Flight. The park is part of the larger Yas Island leisure district.
