À propos
Japanese immigrants began arriving in Brazil in 1908, and many settled in Liberdade, which grew into the centre of the largest Japanese community outside Japan. Red torii-style arches and lanterns line its streets, and shops, restaurants and a weekend fair now reflect Chinese and Korean influences too.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Come at the weekend for the street fair in Praça da Liberdade and its stalls of Japanese snacks.
