À propos
Established in the mid-nineteenth century by immigrants drawn by the Gold Rush and the railways, the neighbourhood was rebuilt after the 1906 earthquake in a deliberately Chinese style. Grant Avenue is lined with pagoda-roofed shops and lanterns, while quieter alleys hold temples, herbalists and fortune cookie makers. It is also a fine place for dim sum.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Enter through the Dragon Gate on Grant Avenue, then explore the side alleys and Stockton Street markets.
