À propos
The Basilica of Santa Maria Formosa was built under the patronage of Bishop Maximian of Ravenna and rivalled the famous basilica at Poreč. After the Venetian sack of 1243 its stone was carried off, some of it to Venice, and today only one small side chapel remains, the city's sole Byzantine building.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Find it on a side street between the Forum and the arena as part of an old town walk.
