À propos
When it opened in 1883, the bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world and the first to use steel wire for its cables. Designed by John A. Roebling and completed under his son Washington and daughter-in-law Emily, it took fourteen years to build. The raised wooden promenade between its Gothic stone towers is one of the city's classic walks.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Walk from Brooklyn towards Manhattan in the early morning to face the skyline as you cross.
