À propos
The museum opened in 1992 on the spot where Ville-Marie was established in 1642. Visitors walk among excavated remains of the first settlement, an early Catholic cemetery and the city's first collector sewer. Exhibitions trace the city's story from Indigenous presence to the present day.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Start underground in the archaeological remains, then climb to the tower lookout over the Old Port.
