À propos
The Malacca Straits Mosque stands on the artificial Malacca Island and was inaugurated on 24 November 2006 by the King of Malaysia. It combines Middle Eastern and Malay craftsmanship. When the water is high the building appears to float on the sea. Two intersecting archways lead to the entrance, with stained glass between them, and the 30-metre minaret also serves as a lighthouse.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Go at sunset and at high tide, when the mosque appears to float on the water; dress modestly.
