À propos
Fort Margherita was built in 1879 by Charles Brooke, the second White Rajah of Sarawak, to defend Kuching against pirates. It is styled like a small English castle and stands on the north bank of the Sarawak River. From 1971 it served as a police museum. Today it houses the Brooke Gallery, an exhibition on the history of Sarawak under the Brooke dynasty.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Cross the river by boat or over the Darul Hana Bridge, and visit in the afternoon for views back to the waterfront.
