À propos
Begun in the late nineteenth century and not consecrated until the 1970s, the Expiatorio was inspired by the great Gothic churches of Europe. Its stained-glass windows were made in France, and its tower clock is animated by a procession of the twelve apostles, a favourite sight for families on the plaza outside.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Come on the hour to watch the clock tower's mechanical apostles parade out, and see the windows in daylight.
