Información
The islands were once a peninsula until storms in the 1850s cut them off from the mainland. Today they are a green retreat reached by short ferry rides, with beaches, lagoons, a small amusement park and a lighthouse from 1808. A community of residents lives in cottages on Ward's and Algonquin islands.
Mejor momento para ir: Take the ferry across on a summer afternoon, hire a bike and return at sunset for the skyline view.
