Información
Habib Bourguiba had this tomb built in 1963, while he was still president, in a modern Arab-Muslim style, and it was enlarged in 1978. It stands at the end of a broad alley in Monastir's Sidi El Mézeri cemetery, flanked by two 25-metre minarets and topped by a golden dome. Bourguiba, who died in 2000, lies here with his family, and a small museum displays his desk, pens, glasses and passports.
Mejor momento para ir: Visit on the same day as the ribat, and dress respectfully, as it stands within a working cemetery.
