The zoo is spread across wooded slopes on the hill of Svatý Kopeček at the city's north-eastern edge and is known for breeding antelope and mountain goats. On the summit nearby rises a Baroque pilgrimage basilica, from whose terraces the whole of Olomouc and the Haná plain spread out below.
