The summit is the highest point of Holyrood Park, a wild expanse of crags, lochs and grassland within walking distance of the Old Town. Several paths lead to the top, passing the dramatic Salisbury Crags, and the panorama takes in the castle, the Firth of Forth and the hills of Fife.
