Run by the university of Cusco and set in the colonial Casa del Almirante, the museum traces Andean history from early cultures through the Inca empire to the colonial period. Exhibits include ceramics, textiles, metalwork, mummies and a fine collection of qeros, the carved wooden drinking vessels of the Incas.
