St Anne's Church, Shandon
An eighteenth-century church whose bell tower is Cork's best-known landmark and viewpoint.

Built in the 1720s on a hill north of the river, the church has a tower faced in red sandstone on two sides and white limestone on the others, echoing the city's colours. Visitors can climb past the clock, play tunes on the Shandon Bells and enjoy the view over the city from the top.
