Información
Named after Aruna, the Hindu god of the dawn, the temple briefly housed the Emerald Buddha when Thonburi was the capital. Its tall central prang, built in the early nineteenth century, is encrusted with fragments of coloured Chinese porcelain and seashells arranged into flowers, and steep steps lead up its lower terraces for views over the river.
Mejor momento para ir: Cross by ferry from Tha Tien pier in the morning, then view it lit up from the east bank at sunset.
